Himmelsboda is first known of in the year 1642 when it was a cottage that served under Hamra Village. The cottage was one of the latest establishments and had to take the land that wasn’t settled already. One of the few witch-processes that were held in Botkyrka took place in 1671 against a Karin Seffersson of Himmelsboda. She was accused but was acquitted by the court. The cottage that stands at Himmelsboda today is from the beginning of the 20th century. Another cottage near is Jakobsberg. It is situated rather isolated in the forest. The cottage that stands there today is a little older than Himmelsboda. It is built towards the end of the 19th century.
